Scholarship Awards 🏆on Professional Trainings
My passion for teaching excited me a great deal at my first International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) school which was a fully funded award (travels and all expenses) while the needed teaching tools (resources) were delivered by Prof, Sharon Juliano to all her students. This application made me realize the zeal to keep sorting for potential skills because indeed the course is for those who have been into Neuroscience teaching in years. I learned a great deal about student-teacher learner-centered. I inculcated most of my training in my University at Olabisi Onabanjo University as a Graduate Assistant. This was followed by a remote lecturer role at the Olive International College of Natural Medicine (OICNM).Â
Attended my first SONA
Prof. Solomon Umukoro, University of Ibadan, Nigeria awarded some students within Africa the opportunity to learn more about stress. My masters research at Olabisi Onabanjo University lead my application with a success of been awarded this symposium a fully funded opportunity of travel award and all expenses covered. My Physiological understanding of internal regulation using homeostasis got more ideal grounds on how there could be more than the feedback where we learned stress out-burst and the germ-theory.Â
Some curiosities on scientific fundamentals after exploring a bit of biomedical science approach to learning about the brain especially using In silico-computational approaches and some bench-based experiments provided me with some insight into learning about brain behavior specifically neurons. This summers school was led by great team to include Joseph Raimondo, Tim Vogel, Peter Latham, Demba ba, . These well-known Professors across the globe provided great insight into biophysics, theoretical and machine learning teachings of neuron behavior. The generoisty of the teaching assistants and colleagues in my cohort was a great deal. Great moments are surreal.Â
